"POETRY ISN'T WRITTEN - IT IS CULTIVATED."
Sourced exclusively from a small group of family-owned farms—cultivated by dedicated producers Julia Vega Rodríguez, Olman Cruz Vega, Ricardo Chávez Garita, and Juan Bautista Mejia Rojas—this coffee is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship. These growers partner with Café de Altura de San Ramón Especial S.A., a state-of-the-art mill recognized for its uncompromising attention to quality. Every coffee cherry is carefully sorted, washed using an environmentally sustainable water recycling system, and graded by density, weight, and color before resting for more than a month. This painstaking process yields extraordinary consistency while allowing each family farm to focus heavily on sustainable cultivation and peak cherry quality.

Roasting Exceptional Coffee Since 1982
A Legacy Born in Her Kitchen. A Roast Perfected in Ours.
Forty-five years ago, Bonjo Coffee wasn’t a business—it was a memory. Our story begins with the hum of a stovetop and the unmistakable aroma of my grandmother’s kitchen. She didn’t just brew coffee; she created a moment of sanctuary. It was her warmth, her high standards, and her belief that "good enough" never was, that sparked the fire in me to start roasting.
Today, Bonjo Coffee Roasters remains a family-anchored landmark in Stamford, CT. We’ve taken those old-world values—patience, quality, and heart—and brought them into the modern era. As a multi-generational roastery, we bridge the gap between my grandmother's timeless inspiration and the precision of today’s specialty coffee.
From our signature Miscela Bar and Classica to our micro-lot single origins, every bean is roasted to honor her legacy. We are still a family business, now led by the next generation, ensuring that the same care my grandmother put into a single cup is found in every bag we ship.
Bonjo Coffee: Legendarily Roasted. Locally Loved. Grandmother Approved.

Which Grind Preference do I write ?
Which Grind Preference do I write ?
Please let us know how you plan to brew your coffee so we can grind it perfectly for your setup! You can write Drip for standard auto-drip coffee makers. If you use an espresso machine, just write Espresso. For a coarse grind, you can write French Press or Cold Brew, and for a medium to medium-fine grind, let us know if it is for a Pour Over, Aeropress, or Moka Pot.
If you leave this field blank: Don't worry! We will automatically apply our default grinds based on the coffee type. All standard blends and single origins will default to a Drip grind, while all dedicated espresso blends will automatically be ground for Espresso.
